Subsidy opportunity for pupils attending Genesis - Just had this information from the business manager at The Catmose College, Oakham, where we have one of our regular theatre schools and a summer school coming up:
“Rutland Schools have been given an “Activity Subsidy Grant” to use specifically for non curriculum time activities – if any parents are in receipt of any of the qualifying benefits they can claim 100% of the whole cost of an activity, whether that is the weekly Genesis term time school, or the summer school week, from the grant – through their own school. (So far, people have been issued grants for horse riding, judo, watersports).
All local authorities got the grant to give out to their schools so your parents in other counties should be able to access the same thing. The grant is run by the local authority, but the money has been delegated to schools so parents should send their application form to their child’s school.”
